The competition is divided into two parts. The first part is to measure the positioning of the bridge model, judge whether the model is qualified, and measure the weight of the bridge. In the second part, the load-bearing test is divided into two times, both of which need to stay in the center of the bridge for 10s to ensure the stability of the bridge. If the bridge structure is damaged, it is considered as loading failure. During the competition, the team members communicate with each other, work together, build models and discuss problems. After three hours of competition, all the works have completed the test, and then the judges analyze, rank and score the test data of each group.
This competition not only showed the students' solid mechanical knowledge, but also enhanced their practical operation ability and deep understanding of the structure. At the same time, this competition is a rare experience accumulation process to deepen the students' understanding of bridge engineering model.
