Following the passing of the architecture major evaluation in 2016, the university once again welcomed the experts from the national architecture major education evaluation committee to evaluate the undergraduate education of architecture major in our university. On the morning of May 26, our university held a report meeting on undergraduate education evaluation of architecture in the conference room on the third floor of Jinming campus library. Professor Huang Qiuping, head of the evaluation and inspection expert group of architecture major of Henan University and chief architect of East China Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Professor Shi Lei, Dean of School of architecture and art of Central South University, Professor Fan Yue, Dean of School of architectural planning of Shenzhen University, researcher Fu Shaohui, chief architect of China Aviation planning and Design Institute, deputy secretary of the Party committee of our university Liu Zhijun, vice president, Xu Shaokang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee and vice president of the University, Kan Yunchao, member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee and vice president of the University, persons in charge of relevant functional departments such as the educational affairs office, the president's office, the personnel department and the Finance Department of the University, all team members and representatives of teachers and students of the school of civil engineering and architecture attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Kan Yunchao.

  After all the participants watched the propaganda film "the way of University", Liu Zhijun delivered a welcome speech to briefly introduce the history of our school, disciplines, teaching staff, campus environment and other aspects, as well as the development history and construction status of the school of civil engineering and architecture. He pointed out that in 2016, the architecture major of Henan University successfully passed the national education evaluation, which is of benchmarking significance in the school's professional certification and evaluation sequence, and has greatly promoted the construction of various majors of the school. The experts' inspection and guidance work is another spur and promotion to improve the quality of education and teaching in our school, and it is also a rare opportunity to learn and improve. It is hoped that experts will give more valuable opinions and suggestions in the process of evaluation, and give more guidance and help to the construction and development of architecture major in our university. The school will fully support and cooperate with the experts' work in school to ensure the smooth progress of the assessment. At the same time, we will also listen to experts' opinions, sum up experience, do a good job in rectification, and promote the rapid development of architecture and related disciplines.

  Huang Qiuping spoke highly of our school's 100 year history and profound cultural heritage, affirmed the school's emphasis on the construction and development of architecture major, and expressed his gratitude to the teachers and students for their support for this evaluation. He introduced the relevant requirements of this evaluation, and pointed out that this evaluation will combine the professional characteristics of architecture, mainly examine whether the professional training mode, teaching process, teaching conditions, teaching staff, school running characteristics, school running philosophy, etc. meet the requirements of professional certification. It is hoped that during the working period of the expert group, the relevant functional departments, colleges, teachers and students of the university will cooperate with each other to do a good job in this evaluation with high quality and efficiency, so as to promote the better development of architecture and related disciplines of Henan University.

  Zhang Dawei, vice president of the school of civil engineering and architecture, reported in detail the construction and improvement of architecture major in our school from the aspects of school development history, ideological objectives and characteristics, development status, implementation of the last round of inspection, deficiencies and improvement measures.

  In the expert question exchange session, according to the certification standards, the experts inquired about the problems and solutions in the construction process of architecture major, and the relevant person in charge of the school of civil engineering and architecture answered them.

   It is reported that the expert group will carry out a three-day intensive professional evaluation and examination in our school in combination with the self-evaluation report of architecture major to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth on-site evaluation of our school's architecture major in the form of material review, in-depth interview, internship visit and on-site lectures, and give feedback to the school on May 28.
